Der Spiegel reported earlier on Tuesday that Germany will deliver the tanks. The decision to supply the tanks came after intense negotiations between Germany and its allies in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, including the US, according to the report.

The Biden administration is set to announce it will send Kyiv M1 Abrams battle tanks, people familiar with the matter said Tuesday, reversing a longstanding position as part of efforts to persuade Germany to provide tanks of its own.

Maybe this move will give Putin cause to pause?

Hopefully the Leopards, Challengers and Abrams tanks will help drive the fascists back to RuZZia. Being able to evaluate their performance against the newest Russian tanks in actual combat will be extremely valuable. Based on the Iraq War it is expected that they will barbeque many Russian tank crews, particularly in the Soviet-era models. Russians, don't come to Ukraine, or South Africa.

Good - long overdue, but at least it's happening. The US, UK, Poland and Norway are all sending MBTs as well, so hopefully they can blast Russia out of Ukraine once and for all. Would be brilliant to see Lavrov doing a press conference in Red Square with an M1 Abrams tank bearing down on him, a la Comical Ali in Iraq!
